Great Barrier Reef, check. Not sure I need to say much more about this stop.
OK, a few words.... it's humid, searing hot. It is jellyfish season. Once again, it is gorgeous; the land and people. I have yet to see one short, untanned, unfit Australian. For our snorkeling adventure, we jumped on a catamaran, directly from the ship, and motored an hour and half to a dive platform on the Hardy Reef. There was little comparison to snorkeling in the bath tub like South Pacific, it was rainy, windy and there was a strong current. Oh there was one similarity, it was literally, flippin' fun!
Cairns is another great City; smaller than Brisbane and Sydney, but similar charm. Once again, it's clean, well manicured and filled with great shops and restaurants.
